1. Legal Basis and Purpose of Data Processing
Data processing is conducted in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable local laws.
Legal Basis: The User's voluntary consent provided during registration.
Purpose: To provide Application functions, identify the User, send email-based verification (authentication), and personalize the user experience.
2. Scope of Collected Data
To use the Application and complete the registration, the following data is required:
- Email Address: For account creation, sending the mandatory verification email, and password recovery.
- First and Last Name: For user profile identification.
- Technical Data: Device type, operating system version, and anonymized usage statistics to improve app performance.
3. Duration of Data Retention
Personal data provided during registration is processed until the deletion of the user account.
Upon a User’s request for account deletion, all personal data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
4. Data Transfer and Security
The Data Controller does not transfer, sell, or disclose personal data to third parties, except where required by law (e.g., official requests from authorities).
Data is stored on secure servers with appropriate technical measures to prevent unauthorized access.
5. User Rights
Users have the right to:
- Request information regarding the processing of their personal data.
- Rectify/Update their data within the Application's profile settings.
- Delete their account and all associated data via the in-app settings or by contacting berri@berribook.com.
- Object to the processing of their data.
6. Account Deletion Policy (App Store Compliance)
In compliance with App Store requirements, Users have the option to initiate full account deletion within the Application. Deleting the account will permanently remove the registered email address and all associated personal settings from our database.
